GYMSPORTS NEW ZEALAND COACH EDUCATION MODULES
As part of the education framework, coaches are required to complete a number of theoretical modules and practical coaching evaluations to gain accreditation. The modules attached can be downloaded and completed as part of this accreditation process or as part of a coach’s professional development.
Once a module has been completed, please send it to GymSports New Zealand for marking. Practical coaching evaluations can only be completed by approved assessors. Please ensure you gain approval for your assessor from your Gymsports Officer prior to the assessment taking place.
Modules received by GymSports New Zealand will be assessed and feedback will be provided. Modules that do not meet requirements may be resubmitted once required components have been completed.
RECREATION COACH
The new Understanding Movement Course replaces Recreation Coach. Coaches who attended the Recreation Coach Course in 2011 and have not yet finished their online modules must complete the new Understanding Movement assignment, available from Regional relationship Managers.
