| What is RPL? |
| Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) is for coaches who may have done formal training overseas or in recognized tertiary institutions. |
| How do I apply for RPL? |
| As there has been some confusion surrounding the Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) process, we now have application forms to complete relating to the qualification that the applicant is seeking. There are separate forms relating to each coaching course and the related online modules. These forms will apply to applicants from overseas, as well as to applicants who are wanting to have prior learning acknowledged. |

What do I need to send in with my application? |
|
Applicants are asked to complete the forms and send them in with copies of any relevant documentation. This relevant documentation could be tertiary qualifications and/or transcripts or gymsports-specific qualifications from overseas. The forms ask applicants to provide evidence that specific modules from each course have been covered. Please provide as much clear evidence of prior study as possible to enable the assessment panel to make valid and justifiable decisions. |

How will my application be processed? |
|
Applications will be processed by an assessment panel, which will be made up of the National Education Manager from GSNZ, the relevant SDC Coaching Advisor and one other independent assessor. Following consultation of the assessment panel, RPL will be given or further learning recommendations will be made. |
